To improve onto something done previously is one thing and to ensure that you create something new entirely is what we set out for. With a 200% hike in the number of participating teams we tried to make sure that all the participants who come this far, get a chance to race.
With a bounty of Rs 12 Lacs at stake. We were sure that the participating teams would be extremely prepared but, we wanted to ensure that the competition is improved further and this we put forward the driver training program to take the competition to a whole lot new level.
A total of 200 teams had gathered to witness the festival of go-karting unravel in front of their eyes. With them being a part of its glory. It truly was the largest and the most spectacular show of technology and innovation.
The stage was set since last year, we needed to level it up to even further. Also our definition of Go-karting competition elevated with the unparalleled support of our amazing participants and extremely supportive judging panels.
Venue & Event:
Virtual Round: The prefabrication round was from the 30th - 31st July, 2016 and the various participating teams from all around India competed on the amazing campus of Vikrant Group of Institutions, Indore. The teams were tested rigorously in their concepts of what they were about to build and how they were to proceed to reach to their outcome. The sole purpose of this round was to ensure that all the teams that are participating in the competition are neck to neck with each other on all terms. And then teams proceeded for the fabrication of the go-kart.
Final Round: Newer track was chosen to host the third iteration of India's favourite go-karting championship. 29th September to 3rd October, 2016 saw the most finely produced go-karts put to the most rigorous tests. The technical inspector ensured the Go-karts safety standards, followed by the legendary brake test and the acceleration tests followed by the Skid-pad and the Autocross Test. Picking up from the pace that traction test has received last year it went forth to its second time in the championship's history. Event still fancied DJ night where teams forgot their on track differences and together enjoyed a glorified evening before the last faceoff on the final track the next day.
